OK here's the deal. . . I'm getting a dot com. I've wanted to do it for a while. One of the reasons is my blog's current lame name. When I started this blog three years ago I came up with a name that was personalized, and also had some (maybe not so original) alliteration (I'm a sucker for alliteration) but in truth it was kind of cheesy and, really, kind of boring.
Now I will have a name that is definitely personalized, won't have any alliteration, but the trade-off is it won't be lame. And the biggest feature is--it will be all mine. With the switch in name I will also be doing a site makeover.
There will most-likely be a LOT of construction dust on this site for the next 24-48-72-? hours. The truth is I don't really know how all of this is going to go down. I'm doing this through Blogger and basically anyone who visits this site is supposed to be redirected automatically to the dot com; however, anyone reading my posts via a feed reader will need to update their RSS feed with the new address. . . (Haha I just said all those words because OTHER people say them when they make website changes. I don't actually know what any of those things mean, but I'm sure if you use a "feed reader" you'll know what you need to do.)
In order to make the transition easier for everyone I will be having a giveaway starting on Monday to say thanks for making the jump with me. Anyone is welcome to enter. After all, I have recently passed my 200th blog post and my 10,000th visitor--it's time for a giveaway!
Hop on over to jeanetics.net. See you after the jump!
